		<description><![CDATA[We struggled recently with letting go an employee who was unorganized and had a poor outlook on life, which brought down the mood of our office.  The reason we struggled is because we incorrectly interpreted her messy work area and craziness to an overload of work.  When we let her go on a Friday, I went in Saturday morning to see how I can organize and get her work back on track.  In about 3 hours, I put her work in order, finished a tremendous amount of pending items that sat around with no end in site for months and by Saturday at Noon, it looked like a different work area.

On that following Monday we asked another employee to take over her responsibilities on top of her own.  We raised her pay a couple of dollars per hour and haven&#039;t looked back since.  We now have a great employee who is organized, which makes her able to do two jobs, because she is not wasting time trying to figure out where she&#039;s at with everything and we lowered our payroll.  Win/win all around.  

Having people stay with you for a long time is great, if they are good, but keeping people who are not working out, just to keep them is a very bad mistake.]]></description>
